Since 2004, Javier's has been a flagship restaurant at Irvine Spectrum Center and, in early 2021, unveiled their major reinvestment in outdoor dining with an enormous 5,600-square-foot patio. Instead of making this my new stop 3-4 nights a week, I won’t even return if someone invited me.Delivery & Pickup Options - 2672 reviews of Javier's - Irvine Javier's is Awesome!! They have a delicious menu, and the restaurant is beautifully laid out! Sit out on the patio if you can! Be sure to make a reservation, it's a busy place Mexican. Read the other reviews about your rude hostesses and get it together. Their sole job is to greet customers, and therefore, they should be overly personable. In the end, if that’s their ridiculous, nonsensical policy, so be it, but the bigger part was her tone and the way she addressed it. I’ve never been asked specifically what on the menu I was going to order, let alone turned away for my answer. Not to mention the rest of the restaurant was 80% unoccupied. There was only one couple seated out of the 15 tables available in that section. The couple of appetizers and drinks I was going to order would cost far more than any single entree. Because it’s under one category on the menu versus another? How absurd.

I could maybe see requiring food purchase to sit outside of the bar area, but to tell me I can’t order appetizers and specifically need to order an entree is ridiculous. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to order an entree if I wanted to sit there, otherwise, I’d have to sit at the bar. I told her I was going to try a couple of appetizers and have a few drinks. She looked me up and down, and asked what I was going to order. I’ve read several reviews noting that the hostess was rude. I could be seated at one of the tables in the front indoor/outdoor patio area. I’ve been wanting to switch it up, so today I figured I’d give Javier’s a try. I usually go to one of two places up the street from here 3-4 nights a week for early evening appetizers and a couple of drinks.
